Whitby Lakes Retirement Village Common Amenities Building (Stage A1)

Client | Whitby Lakes retirement Village
Completion | June 2011
Architect | Pacific Environments
Cost | 2 million

This very complex brown field project required taking over a site where existing foundations were to be utilised, including a partialy completed swimming pool shell.  As the project was designed as a three story building, foundations needed to be upgraded to take the structural load, precast panels installed, interspan first floor and upgraded services installed to allow the building to be added to at a later date.

With the village in operation at all times, safety of the residents and protection of their amenity was of utmost importance for the duration of this 11 month project. Weekly meetings and close liasion with the village staff saw this project seamlessly delivered to the client on time and budget.
