Engineering, Printing & Manufacturing
Union Head Office (EPMU)

Location | Wellington
Client | EPMU
Completion | November 2007
Architect | Malcolm Perry
Cost | 1 million

This $1 million project involved a complete conversion of a warehouse to fully functioning and contemporary offices. It required the demolition of solid block walls along two sides of the building, and the associated structural upgrade, along with the complete installation of sewer, water, mechanical, electrical and data systems.

With the airport nearby, effective sound proofing was required for a comfortable work environment, which involved insulation of the roof between the structural rafters, followed by the use of insulating glass units and sound absorbing finishings.
